Early on in this time of transition, I began to meditate every day in an effort to find some sense of stillness. To help myself stay in that peaceful space and to make myself available for any God-manifestation that might come along, I soon intensified my practice. Whatever I was doing must have worked because one day God actually spoke to me —and I could actually hear His Voice!
“Good morning, Keith!” was what I heard when I was abruptly awakened on that cloudy June morning in 1996. In my dazed state, I thought that my wife at the time or a friend was nudging me to get up so they could tease me for being so lazy. But when I sat up in bed I could see no one there.
Then the Voice spoke again, “I am inside of you. Yes, it is true that I am here with you and you are here with Me!”
At that moment, I fell back on the bed, my eyes closed, and I found myself standing in the Presence and Light of the Divine. As I tried to collect myself, my first thought was, “What do I do with this?” The Voice responded, “I shall tell you. Sit on the sofa, press RECORD on your tape player, close your eyes and let your mouth move.” I did what the Voice instructed and to my astonishment, out poured volumes of the most far-out material I’d ever heard. When I opened my eyes after that first God-session, all I could think was, “Oh s**t!”
